Zero Latency
Zero Latency was born from the dream to create a new form of entertainment. Founders Tim Ruse (CEO), Scott Vandonkelaar (CTO) and Kyel Smith (COO) started work on the first ever FRVR prototype in 2012 in Scott’s garage.
The prototype was unleashed on an unsuspecting public at Pause Fest 2014, a digital innovation conference in Melbourne, Australia. It blew people’s minds.
On the back of this success, the trio launched a successful crowdfunding campaign, raising over $30,000. Media coverage of the campaign caught the attention of Carthona Capital, who invested in a seed stage round, allowing them to scale up and open the world’s first permanent FRVR venue. It opened in August 2015 in North Melbourne, Australia, to six-week-long waiting lists.
Fast forward to 2018, and the pioneer is also the irrefutable global leader, with more than 550,000 game plays across venues in America (8 locations), Mexico, Japan (2 locations), South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau, Spain, Portugal and Australia (Melbourne and Brisbane).
